Kensington Hospital’s Behavioral Health Services includes an Inpatient Withdrawal Management Treatment Program. Inpatient Withdrawal Management is considered to be the entry point for individuals seeking substance abuse treatment. Therefore, Inpatient Withdrawal Management Treatment is a vital first step on the road to recovery. Kensington Hospital’s Inpatient Withdrawal Management Treatment Program provides assistance in the mitigation of withdrawal symptoms, and offers a safe environment for the detoxification process, with the utilization of medical supervision. Kensington Hospital’s Inpatient Withdrawal Management Program utilizes a holistic approach to treatment. A holistic approach is achieved by addressing the physiological, cognitive, behavioral, and environmental aspects of substance use disorders for each individual patient. Kensington Hospital’s Inpatient Withdrawal Management Program offers a safe and stable environment for each patient to begin their recovery journey. Patients are provided individual and group therapy, and case management services throughout their stay. Throughout the treatment process patients are being evaluated by both medical and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care is being received. Continued care options are discussed throughout the treatment process, and upon completion of inpatient withdrawal management treatment each patient is provided with continued care connections.
The MMT Outpatient Program at Kensington Hospital (Joint Commission Accredited), addresses the specific needs of the client, providing an effective safe environment for the client to engage into individualized Telehealth therapeutic sessions while receiving methadone medication treatment. Our Dr. William Bainbridge, MD believes Outpatient treatment supports the client in maintaining a stable living routine while continuing to work, go to school or otherwise function within their community. Addiction is as unique as the people who suffer from it. Treating addiction and substance abuse is a complicated and individualized experience for everyone. What may work for some, may not work for others. Knowing that addiction is a different, chronic disease for many people, options have been created to provide unique and individual care. Methadone Maintenance treatment can be used immediately after inpatient treatment. There are many benefits to this treatment when you consider outpatient treatment as an option.
The MMT Outpatient program has help over 2 million people in the United States. Kensington Hospital in partnership with BHSI (Behavioral Health Specialist Incentive), and CBH (Community Behavior Health) have had great success over 20 years as frontline defenders in the addiction crisis in the Philadelphia region assisting to that success.
